This course allows you to apply to the NSW Office of Fair Trading to be an Assistant Agent in Real Estate – Sales and Leasing which is a requirement to work in the real estate industry in NSW.  It is also a requirement to be employed and supervised under a Licensee in Charge (Class 1 Agent) to perform real estate sales, leasing and stock and station (livestock only) functions including;

  • acting as an agent to negotiate with a person to enter into, or to accept an offer relating to a real estate transaction or a contract for a real estate transaction
  • introduce a prospective purchaser, lessee or licensee of land to another licensed agent or owner
  • acting as an agent to collect rents payable or provide property management services

As an Assistant Agent, you are able to secure new clients however, only a Class 2 or Class 1 Agent can sign and bind the agency to an agreement.

Students can study as fast as they like. The amount of time it takes to complete this course is entirely based on the individual student, their level of dedication and commitment, along with their individual availability to complete their studies.

Students completing the Entry Level Training course program will have a maximum of 6 months in which to finalise their course assessments.

Will it really take 6 months to complete this course?

If a student has a reasonable aptitude to online learning and a proficiency in understanding learning materials, that are able to commit themselves to at least 2-3 hours of online studies per day, they may be able to complete this training in as little as 7 - 14 days. 

Students completing the Top Tier Training course program will have a maximum of 12 months in which to finalise their course assessments.

Will it really take 12 months to complete this course?

If a student has a reasonable aptitude to online learning and a proficiency in understanding learning materials, that are able to commit themselves to at least 2-3 hours of online studies per day, they may be able to complete this training in as little as 12 - 20 days. 

As the course is 100% online based, you can access the course content whenever and wherever you want.

There are no pre-requisites to study the registration course. However, all RETA accredited courses do require LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) capabilities, such as a working knowledge of the English language, and an understanding of various mathematical calculations.

To ensure your ability to successfully complete our courses, you are required to demonstrate your LLN skills by completing a short LLN quiz as part of the enrolment process.

Students will require:

  • A computer to access online learning materials and undertake online assessments.
  • Internet access for research, submitting online assessment items, and email for communication purposes and tutor assistance.
  • A Unique Student Identifier (USI) that can be obtained at www.usi.gov.au

This course is delivered by and only available via a 100% online based self-paced learning platform.

How does this compare to in-class training?

In class training does also require students to complete units of competency outside of designated class hours. It is quite common for many students to need to complete a major part of their learning materials in their own time, outside of classroom hours, without the support of a designated tutor guiding you through the class.

Classroom studies are generally held once-a-month, which means you may experience a delay in commencing your studies whilst you wait for the class to begin. If the class attendance numbers are already at capacity, you may even experience longer delays as you may need to wait until the following induction (next month), before you can start training.

Online study allows for our students to have complete control and flexibility over their study schedule. 

Once a student enrols into their chosen course program, we immediately provide you with emailed login credentials to access our e-learning platform.

Students are then able to login to their account and access learning materials at any time.

The CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is the qualification required to be able to apply to the NSW Office of Fair Trading for a Class 2 License. Class 2 License holders will be known as ‘Licensed Agents’ and are able to sell and manage properties.

As part of this course, you will have access to 18 units of competency from the CPP41419 training package. Please note, NSW Office of Fair Trading require 12 months industry experience as an Assistant Agent before you can successfully apply to be classified as a Class 2 Licensed Agent.
